HOW GOVERNMENT CAN LEARN FROM AUTO RACING I know, you’re thinking “How does that work?” But consider this: When you are setting up a race car, if the balance is not right the car could be in what’s considered a “loose” condition. You enter the turn and the back end of the car breaks loose and smashes into the wall. You can adjust on the car but if you go too far you have a "tight" condition, the car goes into the corner but when you turn the wheel the font end does not have enough grip and you slide up into the wall with the front end. In either case, you have hit the wall and you’re done. In managing government you should find that perfect balance, not too loose and not too tight, so we can achieve the most efficient performance out of any issue. I want to go to Congress because I feel I can examine issues and actually apply some logic to achieve that balance. |
