| I am NOT an Independent. I want people to understand that I am a REGISTERED Republican, but I am running with No Party Affiliation. When I say this, even to the media, they say “Oh, you’re an independent”, but that is not correct. There is an Independent Party of Florida, but I am not a member of that party. No Party Affiliation simply means that I am running without the support of the Republican Party and I am not bound by the party platforms. I feel the party has lost its way, but I’m not ready to give up on it. I think people from both the Republican and Democrat party feel deserted, so this may be a good time to focus on the candidate and not the party. I’m up against well known and well funded political machines, and the support and vote for me could send out a loud and clear message that people from all political parties are fed up with the games of politicians. Thanks for your support. Don |
HOW GOVERNMENT CAN LEARN FROM AUTO RACING I know, you’re thinking “How does that work?” But consider this: When you are setting up a race car, if the balance is not right the car could be in what’s considered a “loose” condition. You enter the turn and the back end of the car breaks loose and smashes into the wall. You can adjust on the car but if you go too far you have a "tight" condition, the car goes into the corner but when you turn the wheel the font end does not have enough grip and you slide up into the wall with the front end. In either case, you have hit the wall and you’re done. In managing government you should find that perfect balance, not too loose and not too tight, so we can achieve the most efficient performance out of any issue. I want to go to Congress because I feel I can examine issues and actually apply some logic to achieve that balance. |
