Money can't buy you love,
But we need it to get our message out.
I don’t have a campaign manager or political strategist telling me what I should say to
be elected. Whether you agree or disagree with me, you can be assured its how I feel
and what I think. I recently heard a campaign strategist say they did not want the
candidate to take questions from the general public because they didn’t want them to
give the wrong answer. Are you kidding me!
I will say that I have friends, both Republican and Democrat, which are well known in
the community and would like to openly support me and donate to my campaign,
however, the campaign rules require us to report our donors’ names, occupation and
employer for anyone contributing over $200.00. The funny thing about politics is that
people remember the ones that supported them, and remember even more, the
people that supported their opponent. Let me be straight up with you, I think that’s a
load of crap. I will appreciate everyone that donates to me and I will harbor no ill will
towards anyone that contributes to the other candidates. In the end, anything I do will
be based on one thing, is it the right thing to do.
I would like your financial support. The fact is that I am not a millionaire; I have poured
our own money into starting this campaign and will do what it takes to keep it going. I
know times are tough, and I don’t like asking for anything, but please help me with
what you can afford; it will be a good investment.
